Scribbles, scratches & scrapings from an aging manchild

About the Manchild

HI! I’m Alex Smith,I’m a 29 year old illustrator, and this is my sketch blog. I started Sketch Party 2000 in April of 2007 with no real goals in mind. Soon after, it evolved into a daily ritual. I posted a sketch, photo, film, or some other piece of my art every day for a year. Somewhere in the middle of that year I went back to school, and if you start at the beginning and move toward the current entries you should be able to see that I paid attention in class. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoy posting them, don’t let this be your last visit. The all new Sketchy McDrawpants is updated Monday, Wednesday and Friday (and any other time I feel like it).

  2. Wow dude, great work you have here!!! I am also a disc golfer and comic book fan, just wondering if it would be cool with you if I got the pic you did of Ben Grim dyed onto a disc? I can send you a pic of the finished product.

  3. Hey man! Got here from Kelly Sue DeConnick tweeting your awesome Captain Marvel. I didn’t know if you do commissions or even if you’d be at HeroesCon this year?

    • I definitely do commissions, and I’ll almost certainly be at HeroesCon, though I probably won’t be tabling.
